The YMC team hopes all at YMC had an enjoyable and restful spring holiday. The Spring Term ended with a fantastic chamber music concert. The concert was a celebration of the terms work and showcased the talent, dedication and commitment of YMC’s musicians. Well done to all YMC’s musicians for an excellent end of term concert and thank you to the audience for attending the concert and supporting YMC’s musicians. A huge thank you to Marina Solarek, Fiona Nisbett, Theo Bently Curtin, Catarina Silva, Vanessa Parmar and Raj Bhaumik for coaching YMC’s ensembles this year.

The summer term is always a busy term in the YMC calendar. The orchestras and choir will be busy this
term preparing for the end of term concert on Saturday 4th July 2026, 2pm at St Mary at Finchley
Church, N3 1TR. Please do make a note of this venue as it is a different venue to the other concert
venues for this academic year and do invite friends and family along to this concert, which will be a
celebration of the years work. Additionally YMC’s Senior Orchestra will also be once again performing at
the Proms at St Judes Festival Family Day on the 5th July 2026, 1:40pm. This performance will be outside
in a marquee by the Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church and the programme will include Haydn
Symphony no.104, Marianne Martinez Sinfonia, Piazzolla Libertango and Granados’ Intermezzo from
Goyescas.
