Bursary Fund

The YMC Bursary Fund was officially launched at our summer concert on 13th July 2019 at the Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church.

We are delighted that the internationally renowned violinist Gyorgy Pauk is our Patron.

For the last 56 years the guiding objective and purpose of the Youth Music Centre has been to provide a wonderful musical education to large numbers of children from many different backgrounds. We have been particularly proud to be able to carry on that tradition by offering assisted places to students who would otherwise have been unable to benefit from YMC’s activities, and we are delighted that the number of such assisted places has grown in recent year

As part of our fundraising activities we have set up a Friends Scheme. This will offer a number of different ways in which you can support us:

Bronze £10 a month (33p a day) – £120 a year

Silver £20 a month (67p a day) – £240 a year

Gold £30 a month (£1 a day) – £360 a year

Platinum £40 a month (£1.33 a day) – £480 a year or more

Of course, we would also welcome one-off donations, or pledges for lesser amounts or for shorter periods, to support the scheme:

One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to supporting students in financial need. Indeed, because we can claim GiftAid on your charitable donation, we can claim an extra 25% on top of your gift from the taxman. • For 33p a day (£10 a month), a student can join an orchestra for a term • For 67p a day (£20 a month), a student can join an orchestra plus a group instrument lesson for a term • For £1 day (£30 a month), a new student can join a beginner lesson and an orchestra class for two terms, plus a year’s free instrument hire • For £1.33 a day (£40 a month), an advanced student can join an orchestra plus an ensemble for two terms.

Thank you for giving one of our talented students such a valuable opportunity!

Yours,

STEPHEN WARNER
